City Council and Jakarta Provincial Government discussed about UU No.29/2007 revision about Jakarta Provincial Government as Capital of Indonesia.

City Council Vice Chairman, M. Taufik said, regulations inside the Law (UU) is not complete yet thus need a revision.

Until now, it is not mentioned about how central government provide funding for nation's capital. The most important is just the authority as nation's capital," he said.
His side needs synergy between local government and central government to solve problems in Capital City.
"Later on, we will analyze to give suggestion for executive. Actually we are agree with the revision," he affirmed.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Assistant for Governance, Bambang Sugiyono said that for all this time, road development in border areas is still using City Budget (APBD).
"Jakarta has two roles; as local government and as nation's capital. The point is, while acting as nation's capital, its budget should be from central government. Such as building road in border area should be used special funds from central, not from City Budget," he closed.
